PRESS RELEASE: TwinStar Media signs zombie novel “The Dead Earth”
Posted by TwinStar Media
TwinStar is excited to announce the signing of a new novel: “The Dead Earth” by Jason Offutt!
A brief synopsis of the story:
All signs pointed toward Omaha, Nebraska, as the safe zone. In Omaha, survivors could escape the Crazies and the Piper. They just had to get there in one piece. The Piper: the nickname of a new, popular, over-the-counter antidepressant made from Ophiocordyceps unilatteralis, a fungus found deep in the Southeast Asian rainforest. The fungus soon begins to infect the millions of people who took the drug, literally changing who you are on the inside. For the survivors of the new worldwide pandemic, your personality and moral fiber (or lack thereof) will lump you into one of three categories: the Goodies, the Baddies, or the Crazies.Individuals and groups of Goodies crawl across the American Heartland toward Nebraska.Past the burning cities.Past the hanging fields.Past each other. They are all hoping to find this safe haven, none expecting what really awaits them.Oh, and there’s a guy who talks only in dialogue from Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. Nobody said the end of the world had to betotally depressing.
